What makes Kletterwald Illingen special

Illingen lies in the Enz district between Pforzheim and Vaihingen an der Enz. The site shares an operator with Kletterwald Bretten, some twenty kilometres to the west.

The combination ticket is the real advantage of this pairing: 44 € for adults, 42 € reduced and 40 € for children — valid at both parks. Against two single tickets that saves about a fifth, and the courses differ enough that the second visit does not feel like a repeat.

Moonlight climbing at 35 € is available by prior arrangement only — nothing happens here after dark on a whim.

Three and a half hours of climbing time is more generous than the three-hour standard most sites in this directory apply.

Groups of ten or more pay 2 € less per ticket throughout, and for school classes one teacher climbs free for every ten paying pupils.

Leather gloves are mandatory and cost 4.50 € on site; your own are fine. Payment is cash only. The season runs from late March to early November.
