What makes Kletterwald Plochingen special
Plochingen lies in the Neckar valley, a good twenty kilometres east of Stuttgart, with an S-Bahn connection. For the greater Stuttgart area this is one of the easiest climbing parks to reach.
Starting at three is rare: the dedicated children's course costs 15 € for two hours, with three kids' courses available.
Night climbing at 35 € is part of the regular programme, with a head torch for 3 € extra. For comparison: the normal daytime adult rate is 31 €.
The state family pass is accepted here. Families of four or more, or holders of the Landesfamilienpass, get 3 € off per person — as do students, apprentices, seniors, people with disabilities and groups of ten or more. The discounts cannot be combined.
One thing to know before setting off: the park takes cash only. Schools can pay in advance by invoice; everyone else should bring notes.

For children: The children's course is meant for three- to five-year-olds and runs two hours. From six to 13 an adult must accompany, supervising at most two children; from 14 it works alone with signed parental consent.
