What makes Parco Avventura Champoluc special
The park sits in the hamlet of Rameruil on the slope above Champoluc. You reach it on foot only: from the car park at Piazza del Mercato towards Frachey, or from the Champoluc–Crest cable car station along the winter return run, about ten minutes either way. The operator explicitly advises against following your sat-nav, and driving up is not allowed.
Two courses, one building on the other. The blue course takes about 30 minutes and also serves as training. Anyone who completes it without difficulty may go on to the green course, with around an hour and a half of climbing. Altogether more than 30 elements – platforms, suspension bridges and ladders – link the trees.
Equipment: harness, lanyards, pulley and helmet are provided. The park was built using techniques that spare the trees.
Those who'd rather not climb can wait at the small bar with a coffee or a cold beer. In August it is open from 10 am until sunset, weather permitting; otherwise it is worth calling, also so the gear can be ready.
