What makes Altmühl BOB special
The ropes course sits beside a summer toboggan run — for families with different preferences that is the practical combination: anyone not keen on heights rides the bob instead.
Each attraction is charged separately. There is no overall admission; you pay for what you use: the climbing tower is 18 € for children aged eight to 14 and 22 € from 15, the children's course 10 €, the giant swing 5 €. From ten people up it gets cheaper.
From March it opens depending on the weather, in summer from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Important for the journey: last entry is at 4:30 pm — an hour before closing.
The grounds lie in the Altmühl valley near Riedenburg, a good hour from Nuremberg and Regensburg.
The climbing tower is around 20 metres high with 36 stations on four levels, plus a children's course of its own with twelve stations for three- to seven-year-olds. Whoever reaches the top can opt for the free fall; beside it stands a giant swing for two that drops from a good seven metres and can be booked until 5:30 pm.

For children: The children's course with its twelve stations is for three- to seven-year-olds; the climbing tower is open from eight, and from 15 at the adult rate. The ropes course is part of a leisure ground with several attractions.
