Chiemgauer Hochseilgarten

Aschau im Chiemgau · Bayern · from 100 cm

A family business on the Hainbach leisure grounds, next to the paragliders' landing field. Half the week belongs to booked groups.

What makes Chiemgauer Hochseilgarten special

Opening hours are only fixed the evening before. The operator adapts them daily to the weather and to group bookings and keeps them current on Google. The first half of the week is mostly booked groups; for everyone else it opens mainly in the second half. If you drive out spontaneously, check first – here that is not advice but a precondition.

A sandwich instead of an age limit. Rather than a number, the operator describes how small a child may be: at 100 to 120 cm two adults should take the child between them, because a helping hand is needed at many transfer points. From 120 cm much of it works alone – and if a 120 cm child wants to climb without parents, a 150 cm companion helps.

Mega Swing, Wallrun and Pamper Pole cost 39 € including admission and only run from six people. Individually a jump or run costs ten euros extra.

Night climbing is for repeat visitors only. With a head torch, from six people – and explicitly only for guests who already know the park by daylight.

Bring your own food. Your own meals and drinks are allowed, beer benches and deckchairs are there, and you may keep the harness on – as long as you do not spill on it.

The season runs from Easter to All Saints. In good weather groups can ask from mid-March. In thunderstorm risk or continuous rain it stays shut.

For children: The operator names no fixed age limit but grades by height: children from 100 to 120 cm need one or two adults alongside in a sandwich, and from 120 to 140 cm they climb partly or fully on their own. Special children's harnesses exist in limited numbers.
