Hochseilgarten Ammersee
Utting am Ammersee · Bayern · from age 2
Five levels built as a pirate ship above the Ammersee, cheaper on weekdays than at weekends. Moonlight climbing runs until midnight.
What makes Hochseilgarten Ammersee special
Weekdays cost two euros less. The operator runs two columns for every level – Saturday, Sunday and holidays against Monday to Friday. Nowhere else in this directory is that split applied so consistently.
Five levels, bookable separately. You do not buy one ticket for everything but for levels 1–2, 1–3, 3–5 or 1–5. If you only want the lower floors, you pay less than half the full price.
Moonlight climbing until midnight, and after-work climbing on Fridays until 9 pm.
A head covering under the helmet is compulsory – new this season, for hygiene reasons. Without one you buy a pirate buff on site for 4 €.
The ten-trip card is not tied to a person and stays valid beyond the season. The season ticket, by contrast, runs 370 days, is not transferable and is only valid with an ID card.
You can come without booking – the operator calls it the restaurant principle: turn up, and if there is capacity, you climb.
The whole thing is run by the Ernst family with a team of students, career changers and school pupils.
