What makes the Hochseilgarten Frankenturm special

Sixty stations, and not only for climbing. Beside the courses there are colourful themed stations, a slackline course and an abseil station. Anyone needing a break heads for the beach area; the "Proviantbox" serves organic pizza, waffles and organic lemonade, and there is sand and a meadow for smaller children.

The safety system is called Clic-iT ADVENTURE. Two karabiners talk to each other: open one and the other locks, and only unlocks once the first is safely back on the line. Detaching yourself completely by accident is impossible.

Watching costs 1 €. Anyone who just stands in the tower or on the platform still pays - the amount is symbolic. New is a 10 € supplement that lets the parents of a baby up to 24 months share the climbing time of a single ticket by taking turns.

Careful with the opening hours. In August 2026 the page still shows the 2025 plan, headed "Unsere Öffnungszeiten 2025". The admission prices next to it, by contrast, carry the year 2026. The operator asks visitors to check in the booking system anyway whether a day is bookable: it is blocked there when a private party has the Frankenturm.

Season 2025

Careful: in August 2026 the operator still shows the 2025 plan, headed "Unsere Öffnungszeiten 2025". By that plan it opens during holidays Wednesday to Sunday, from noon to 6 pm in April and May, from 10 am to 6 pm from June to September, and only by prior arrangement from October; during term time on Fridays from 2 to 5 pm and at weekends from noon or 10 am to 6 pm. Mondays are always closed, and on days above 30 degrees it closes at 2 pm. The operator explicitly asks visitors to check in the booking system whether a day is bookable - it is blocked there when a private party has the place.
