What makes Fun Forest Crans-Montana special

The park lies by little Lake Moubra in Crans-Montana, next to a free beach with pedalos – handy for anyone who would rather not climb. It has been run since June 2007 by Adrenatur, an outdoor activity provider.

Courses by colour and age: Pitchoune on the ground from two, Bibi with 29 elements at one metre from four, Junior above five metres, green (4.5 m), blue (7 m), red (7 to 10 m, with a 42-metre zip line in the Fun 2 variant) and black.

The Diabolo is the outlier: a freestyle course in via ferrata style, with no platforms, climbing up to 20 metres and finishing with a big jump. It is open only from 16 and only to experienced climbers with the staff's approval.

Same price for big and small: the three-hour package covering all courses from green to black costs the same for children and adults; families of three or more pay less per head. In autumn the park opens four days a week.

For children: Bibi (yellow, one metre above the ground) from four, Junior from six and a half with an adult, green/blue from eight with an adult and from nine with supervision from the ground, red from ten with an adult and from eleven with supervision from the ground, black from 16. For Junior the operator requires a reach height of 140 cm and for green/blue 145 cm (feet on the ground, arms stretched).
