What makes the GipfelLiner special

The GipfelLiner is not a climbing site but a zip line – and one that starts at 2,300 metres above sea level, at the top station of the Königsleiten village lift.

From the three-metre take-off platform it runs 430 metres of steel cable and 65 metres of descent, flying across the Königsleiten reservoir. The view reaches across the Zillertal Alps.

For a facility of this kind the price is low: 17 € for adults, 8.50 € for children born 2010 or later. Tickets are sold on site and no booking is needed – so the GipfelLiner can be tacked onto a mountain walk spontaneously.

The limits are strict, though: at least 140 cm body height and 50 kg take-off weight, up to 110 kg. For smaller children the GipfelLiner is not an option – unlike a climbing park there is no easier variant here.

The 2026 season runs from 27 June to 6 September, daily from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

A note on the name: the site is often assigned to the Wildkogel Arena, but it lies in Wald-Königsleiten and belongs to the Zillertal Arena.
