What makes Hochseilgarten Flachau special
The Alpincenter site sits by the lake in Flachauwinkl, and the lake is also its signature: the 150-metre zip line runs straight across the water.
70 different exercises spread across platform heights between four and twelve metres, in several levels of difficulty. Classics such as a giant swing and a Pampers Pole join them.
You do not book a day ticket but one of two programmes: programme 1 lasts two hours and costs 33 € for adults and 30 € for children up to 13, programme 2 lasts about three hours at 44 € and 40 €.
Entry is from age ten, and accompanied at that. Climbing alone is only allowed from age twelve and 140 cm. Anyone arriving with younger children has to go up themselves.
One detail sets the site apart from most: it is open all year, not only in the summer season. Registration is by phone or email.
Flachau also has a second, smaller children's high ropes course in the village – worth not confusing the two when planning.
