The price follows the type of group, not the age. Pupils and children from 27 €, students from 30 €, social institutions such as voluntary-service groups from 42 €, apprentices from 50 €, companies from 70 €. This logic appears nowhere else in this directory – everywhere else the year of birth counts.

The order is striking. Apprentices pay more than social institutions and nearly twice what students pay. If you are after the cheapest route, check which category your group falls into.

Only from twelve people. There are no individual visits, and all rates cover about five hours.

Paperwork comes before the date. The university sends a usage agreement and a health form on which participants' medical conditions have to be declared. Cancellation follows its own rules from that agreement.

The site includes a climbing wall and a bouldering cube. On the university's own wall participants belay each other – it is about trust and communication rather than height. The large bouldering cube was added in 2013.

It is run by the sports science department of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences and has existed for over 20 years.
