What makes Kletterpark Wipperia special
Six courses with more than 100 obstacles at varying heights, built into the trees of the Harz forest near Wippra. The operator lists rope and suspension bridges, balance beams, climbing nets and wobble elements.
Admission is the same for everyone. 23.50 € buys 120 minutes, whether for a child or an adult. That is the exception in this directory – most sites grade by age or height, with differences of five to eight euros.
Climbing gloves are compulsory and cost a further 4.50 €. If you do not bring your own you pay 28 € rather than 23.50 €. Practice varies widely from site to site: at Kletterwald Koala near Münchenbernsdorf gloves are optional and cost 2.90 €, elsewhere they are included in the price. It pays to bring your own.
The climbing park is part of a larger site. The Wipperia Funpark also has a summer toboggan run, a climbing rock, digger rides and a restaurant. Inside the park you pay with tokens called Wippertaler – with one exception: the climbing park is excluded and is paid for normally.
Ten per cent off is available twice over: on the family rate for two adults and at least two children, and for groups from 15 people. School classes, clubs and social organisations are quoted individually.
The site used to be known as Kletterpark Wolfstal. It still appears under that name in many listings portals; the old website is dead and it is run today by Wipperia Funpark GmbH. If you are looking for Wolfstal, this is it.
The briefing runs hourly. It starts at 11 am and is repeated every hour after that. Arrive later and you may have to wait until the next full hour – which is why the operator recommends calling ahead.

For children: The operator gives eight as the lower limit, but what counts is reach height: with an outstretched arm you must be able to reach 1.55 m safely. That is not the same as body height – it is measured to the fingertip, not to the top of the head.
