What makes Kletterwald Bärenfalle special

19 courses is a statement: it makes the Bärenfalle the largest site in Bavaria and, measured against the Austrian parks in this directory, among the largest anywhere. It sits above Immenstadt, within sight of the Alpsee.

Heights run up to 20 metres. Mixed groups will find something at every level here, from ground-level starts to courses whose platforms sit up in the canopy.

The flying fox runs are courses in their own right, not just a closing ride: "Fliegender Bär" and "Vogelbär" comprise up to seven lines. Belaying uses EDELRID's SMART Belay, where only one carabiner can open at a time.

For three-year-olds there is the kiddy course — one of the few sites that lets children start that early. Everything else requires six years with an adult along and a height of 120 cm.

The Alpsee Coaster sits right next door, which makes the site worth a full day out. Current prices are published by the operator on their website.
