What makes Kletterwald Söllereck special
The site is not down in the valley but at around 1,400 metres, by the top station of the Söllereck cable car. That is the whole point: you ride up, climb between mountain forest and a view of the Allgäu Alps, and ride back down. The operator lists it as Germany's highest-lying forest ropes course.
Eight courses with 70 elements in total span the range from the beginners' round "Söllerkopf" to the demanding "Trettach". Belaying uses SMART BELAY: the two carabiners are coupled so only one can open at a time.
The age rules are more finely graded than elsewhere. From six with an adult along, from twelve on your own with written consent. Six- and seven-year-olds, for whom a full course would run too long, can take guided rounds of half an hour.
Rates cover three hours each and sit above the Bavarian average — the cable car is included for school groups, individual visitors should check it separately.
The 2026 season runs from 30 April to 8 November, daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
