What makes Kletterwald St. Englmar special

St. Englmar is one of the best-known holiday villages in the Bavarian Forest, with a summer toboggan run and a treetop walk close by. The climbing park fits in as a half-day programme.

Companions pay nothing. If you supervise your child from the ground rather than climbing along, you come in free. That sounds obvious but is not: at several sites in this directory even spectators pay.

Eight fun courses with 65 elements add up to around 1.3 kilometres. Heights run from one to just over eleven metres — lower than at the big alpine sites, which makes this one more approachable for hesitant beginners.

The pink+ area from age four costs 15.50 € and is the actual children's part. Family tickets start at three people: 65 € for one adult with two children.

Rates cover three hours in the fun courses. During the August holidays there is supervised children's climbing on Fridays from 4 to 6 pm for six- to ten-year-olds.
