Payment is cash only. The operator writes it on the price page with an exclamation mark – arrive without cash and you have a problem.
It lies in the Faber-Castell woods, right by the Faberhof wildlife enclosure and the Strassmühle, a few kilometres south of Nuremberg. The wildlife park next door turns it into a full day.
The birthday child climbs free as soon as at least five paying guests come along – no birthday package needed, just like that.
Four age tiers instead of two: 13 € for children aged five to eleven, 17 € for teenagers up to 17, 18 € for students with ID and 20 € for adults. A student tier between youth and adult is rare.
School classes pay by year group: 11.50 € in years one to six, 15.50 € in years seven to twelve, with one teacher free per ten pupils.
Discounts cannot be combined. The family discount, the group discount and the birthday rule exclude one another – that too is stated explicitly.
The 2.5 hours of climbing time exclude the briefing. The last briefing is at 4.45 pm and the park closes at 7 pm.
