What makes Kletterwald Weiherhof special

The site lies near Zirndorf, west of Nuremberg, making it one of the climbing parks in the Nuremberg-Fürth conurbation. It belongs to a larger leisure ground with archery, axe throwing and bowling.

The courses are named after bear species — and those names are not decoration but the access rule. Cub from four, racoon, koala and panda from 1.30 metres, black bear from 1.40 and twelve years, brown bear from 1.50 and fourteen, grizzly from sixteen. Arriving with children, you should know their height, not just their age: at the desk it is the measuring stick that counts.

Payment is by cash, PayPal or invoice. The invoice is meant mainly for companies and for anyone who has no cash on them (operator's own statement, August 2026).

Climbing time is three hours, every additional hour started costs 5 €. Families of three or more and groups from 15 get 1 € off each ticket, and the birthday child climbs free as soon as five paying guests come along.

Next to the climbing park there is the Natventure course, a games course for all ages, billed separately.

Step-free up to the climbing park, but not through it. Access is step-free, but the ground itself is covered in wood chips that protect the tree roots – hard going with a wheelchair or a pram. Climbing is not possible from a wheelchair, archery is (operator's own statement, August 2026).
