Monte Hochseilgarten

Hirschau · Bayern · from 125 cm

Six courses with names like Goblin Path and Snake Trail at the Monte Kaolino – the sand hill built from the spoil of a kaolin pit.

What makes Monte Hochseilgarten special

The courses have character, not just colours. Koboldweg for warming up just above the ground, Hexenweg with a small zip line up to four metres, Piratengang with a bucket ride and a skateboard, Coaster Tour for families at two to seven metres, Schlangensteig with 14 elements up to twelve metres and a very long zip line – and the Montesteig as the test.

The Montesteig is only allowed from 16. Eleven elements at up to eleven metres, explicitly harder than the rest. Hardly any other site sets a separate age limit for a single course.

The family course costs less than the child rate: 22 € for the yellow, blue, green and orange routes, against 23 € for children and teenagers on the whole site.

The school discount has a ceiling. 19 € applies only up to year eleven and only at primary, secondary and intermediate schools and grammar schools. Sixth-formers pay the regular rate.

Briefings run hourly, the last at 3 pm, and the park closes at 7 pm. Families come without booking, and groups of 15 or more can also come outside opening hours.

The mountain is a by-product. The Monte Kaolino is a spoil heap from local kaolin extraction – today with a sand toboggan run, a lift and this forest ropes course.

The season starts on 28 March 2026 and runs to the end of the Bavarian autumn holidays.
