Rebel Park
Bionaz (Valpelline) · Valle d'Aosta · from age 4
Ropes park on a panoramic ridge in Bionaz in the Valpelline, with zip lines up to 120 metres long and a continuous belay line.
What makes Rebel Park special
Rebel Park belongs to Alpe Rebelle, a mountain inn with rooms in Chez-Chenoux near Bionaz, far up the Valpelline. The park stands on a panoramic ridge among rock, spruce and larch, well away from through traffic.
The zip lines are the signature: up to 120 metres long and up to 25 metres above the ground. The red Stambecchi course has 26 elements and six zip lines and takes about an hour and a half; the Aquile course combines a suspension bridge with six zip lines. There is also the easier blue Marmotte course and, for the youngest, the Leprotti course with a climbing wall, a net, a 40-metre zip line and a barrel.
Belay is by continuous lifeline. You cannot unclip yourself on the way; only staff can, with a special key.
Repeat rounds cost less: a second round on the big course is 15 € instead of 25 €, a third 10 €. The park normally opens daily in July and August and at weekends in May, June, September and October; when the weather is uncertain the operator recommends calling ahead.
