What makes the Waldseilgarten Bad Hindelang special

A traffic light decides the day. At the top right of the website sits a green or red symbol: green in good weather, red in rain or with a bad forecast. The operator explicitly asks visitors to check before setting out - a mountain forest is no place for improvisation.

Eleven courses with names instead of colours. After the briefing course come the marmot path, the chamois trail, the toboggan run, the rutting stag, the climbing ace, the slide king and two panorama laps; Ornachblick and Rauhhornblick are the hard ones.

The site sits at the top station of the Hornbahn. Anyone who does not want to walk buys the combined ticket with the ride up and down; the single ticket is sold for cash only, up at the course. The first ride up is possible from 9 am, the last ride down at 4.30 pm, in summer until 5 pm.

Guests with a Bad Hindelang PLUS card pay nothing, neither for the cable car nor for the ropes course. Locals get a reduction at the till.

Children aged 6 to 13 need an adult companion from 1.20 metres, and one person may supervise at most two children. From 14 you can climb alone, with a parent's signature.

On the last briefing the website contradicts itself: the price page says 2 pm, the opening hours page 2.30 pm. Anyone cutting it fine had better call.
