What makes the Waldseilgarten Oberaudorf special
"No official opening hours" is what the front page says in capital letters. The operator opens only on request and only from ten people upwards. Turning up spontaneously does not work here.
The site sits high. It stands on the Hocheck adventure mountain in the middle of the Inn valley, at almost 1,000 metres, about an hour's drive from Munich. The car park is down in Carl-Hagen-Straße.
The focus is training, not leisure climbing. The operator is Checkpoint Schwarzer from the Samerberg, a provider of business training and team development, honoured among other things with the European Training Award. Alongside company events and team building, private climbing programmes are on offer too.
The operator publishes no prices - each programme is put together individually.
