Hochseilgarten HighLive
Deuselbach · Rheinland-Pfalz · from age 6
Six courses from three to 14 metres at the Erbeskopf, the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate – with a 180-metre flying fox and a non-profit association as operator.
What makes Hochseilgarten HighLive special
The operator is a non-profit association. Live Soziale Chancen e. V. runs the site – the exception in this directory, where limited companies and sole traders are the norm. It also explains the shape of the offering: alongside climbing, the association runs team programmes and training courses.
Six courses from three to 14 metres, plus a flying fox course with long zip lines and a 180-metre flight over meadows and a pond.
The setting is the highest point in the state. The Erbeskopf in the Hunsrück is, at 816 metres, the highest elevation in Rhineland-Palatinate; the site lies in the recreation area near Thalfang, on the edge of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.
There is one-to-one training for fear of heights. The association explicitly offers individual and small-group sessions on the subject, with a programme put together case by case. That is rare in this directory – most sites leave visitors to deal with it alone.
The ten-visit card is transferable. During regular opening hours several people may share it or take turns – so a family can get through on one card rather than one person going ten times.
The operator publishes no prices. No figure appears on the website for individual visitors or for groups; team training is explicitly "on request". We therefore list none – better a gap than a second-hand number.
Booking is by email or form, and only up to the day before. If you want to climb the same day, you have to call.
The day's status is on the home page. The operator posts every operating day whether and from when it is open – worth a look before setting off in changeable weather and in spring and autumn.
