What makes Klettern im Garten special

Guests with a disability may climb longer. Regular use is 2.5 hours, and the operator adds in brackets: for guests with a handicap, longer too. No one else in this directory puts that promise so briefly and so bindingly.

Spectators and chaperones pay nothing. If you are only coming along, you do not queue at the till.

The site is built entirely into old trees. The routes run through the crowns of trees over 100 years old, secured with a Smart Belay system. At the end of each route one of four zip lines takes you back down.

No route is closed to children. On every route the youngest can come along with an adult's help; from route to route the family decides afresh whether to go higher and harder. The age tiers start at three.

A destination for a day on the bike. The climbing garden sits directly on the Butjadingen cycle network – in a region where the bicycle is the normal way to travel, that is more than a footnote.

Groups of ten or more pay 2 € less per person and have to book ahead.
