What makes Kletterwald Pößneck special
The climbing forest lies on Schlettweiner Steig at the edge of Pößneck in the Saale-Orla district, less than 40 kilometres from Kletterwald Koala. It is run by David Kräske.
Five colour-marked courses with well over 50 elements are graded from an easy start up to the hard lines. Belaying uses a continuous system that you clip in once at the start and do not release until you climb down.
The operator runs no website. That is a rarity among German climbing forests, and it is the reason this entry lists neither prices nor season times: what circulates about them in excursion portals does not come from the operator, and this directory takes no second-hand figures.
The Facebook page is of little help. It has existed since 2023, has barely any followers and no post since. The address and phone number are on it, though.
