What makes Kletterwald Osnabrück special
Three separate briefing courses sit in front of the five main ones — more than usual. First-time climbers practise handling the belay system at length near the ground before going up.
The five courses are rated for difficulty from one to five: blue for beginners with seven elements at four to nine metres and a catwalk, orange with eleven elements at five to ten metres and three ziplines, red with eleven elements at four to ten metres and an eight-metre free fall, purple with nine elements reaching twelve metres.
Together that makes 62 challenges across some 700 metres of route.
The location in the Nettetal is practical: the site sits right next to the restaurant and beer garden "Zur Mühle" — anyone not climbing does not have to wait in the car.
The operator also runs Kletterwald Bad Iburg and Hochseilgarten Bad Oeynhausen. Closed Monday to Wednesday, open Thursdays and Fridays from 2 pm and weekends from 11 am; daily during the Lower Saxon holidays.
