What makes Kletterwald Surwold special
There is a two-hour short ticket, bookable for 3:30 and 4 pm, at 23 € instead of 27.50 €. That is an option you rarely find: if you only have time in the afternoon, or come with children who will not last three hours, you pay accordingly less.
Gloves are explicitly not compulsory. Bring your own if you want, or buy work gloves for 2 € on site. Several sites in this directory require gloves — here it is left to you.
New for 2026: head-torch climbing. Bookable for groups of ten or more by arrangement, 2.5 hours at 25 € per person including the lamp.
Every ticket is 1.50 € cheaper online than at the desk, and tickets can be rebooked by yourself.
Climbing time is three hours, briefings start on the hour and half hour, the last at 3 pm. Report to the desk ten minutes before your slot. The forest has been replanted; on sunny days the operator recommends a hat. In poor weather the site may close — worth checking the website before setting off.
