SeaTree Abenteuerpark Steinhuder Meer
Neustadt am Rübenberge · Niedersachsen · from age 8
Three courses with 26 elements in the forest near Mardorf, plus a separately bookable team course. Opening ends at most two hours before sunset.
What makes SeaTree Abenteuerpark Steinhuder Meer special
The sun is in the opening plan. The operator caps opening hours at most two hours before sunset. In June that means something different from October – nowhere else in this directory does closing time hang so directly on the position of the sun.
A team course with four elements has to be booked separately. It aims at group tasks rather than individual climbing and is not part of the normal ticket.
The three regular courses hold seven elements at about three metres for first attempts, ten elements with a swing and an abseil station, and nine elements ending in two zip lines.
On the minimum age the operator allows no exception. In the FAQ the question about the tall but too-young child is answered with a plain no. Eight years is eight years.
Climbing gloves are compulsory and cost 3.50 € on site.
The belay is continuous or semi-continuous, so unclipping by accident is ruled out. The operator is a member of ERCA and IAPA and has a main inspection carried out externally once a year.
The site lies in Mardorf on the northern shore of the Steinhuder Meer, a district of Neustadt am Rübenberge – not in Nienburg, as some portals write.
